For Michel Tremblay, theater is both a spectacle and a metaphor for life! To pay tribute to this great Québec playwright, The World of Michel Tremblay created by the museum takes the form of a theatrical exhibition.
Archival images and audio and video excerpts are woven together in a “poetic video” installation. Texts and music from his works, several family photos, and a box of chocolates evoke the playwright’s life and his world of wonderfully colorful characters.
The impressionist approach adopted by the designers brings out the emotion in the writings, characters, and personal life of this prolific author of 26 plays, 3 musical comedies, 11 novels, 7 screenplays, 12 songs, and 25 television adaptations.
