In L’inquiétante étrangeté, the artist invites us to immerse ourselves in the world of dreams and the unconscious. Here, anything can happen. This universe is the one that the viewer wants to imagine. Drives, traumas and desires intertwine letting the interpretation float in this moment when images are imposed without us being able to change the trajectory
The disturbing strangeness opens a world where images arise, guided by impulses and desires.
The worrying strangeness offers a crossing of the unstable territories of the dream and the unconscious, where the landmarks move and where logic gives way to intuition. In this suspended space, the artist opens a breach: here, anything can happen. The images emerge like fragments of dreams, both familiar and disturbing, leaving the viewer the freedom and the responsibility to build his own story. This universe is never completely given; it is shaped in the imagination of the one who contemplates it. Forms, symbols and silences act as triggers of sensations. Impulses, traumas and desires intertwine without hierarchy, in a flow where meaning remains deliberately unstable. The interpretation floats, uncertain, in this fragile moment when the images impose themselves, following a trajectory that escapes any attempt at control. Between attraction and discomfort, L’inquiétante strangely explores this precise moment when the visible becomes cloudy, where the known turns into strangeness. The exhibition invites you to inhabit this in-between, to accept the loss of landmarks and to let yourself be crossed by what emerges without trying to solve, explain or fix. A space of abandonment, projection and intimate confrontation, where the unconscious finds a form, without ever giving itself entirely.
