By combining images of the city’s flora, fauna, and landscapes with taxidermy specimens from the Museum’s collections, this citizen exhibition weaves a vivid and vibrant tapestry of Sherbrooke.
A few weeks ago, the Museum invited the citizens of Sherbrooke to share their unique perspectives on nature through their nature photographs. The second edition of "Sherbrooke au naturel", highlights the participating photographers’ keen observation, creativity, and artistic sensibility, while showcasing the diversity of perspectives on our region. By pairing their images of the city’s wildlife, flora, and landscapes with taxidermy specimens from the Museum’s collections, this community exhibition weaves a vivid and vibrant tapestry of Sherbrooke. Combining visual arts, natural sciences, and community participation, it aims to reveal the richness of our connection to nature. Immerse yourself in the beauty of local nature and discover it from a new perspective, through the lens of the participants. The Museum’s project, “Sherbrooke au naturel,” is part of the broader “Sherbrooke, toile vivante” initiative, which aims to inspire the creation of projects that transform the city into a vast work of art. The “Toile vivante” project is made possible thanks to financial support from the Government of Quebec and the City of Sherbrooke under the 2025–2027 cultural development agreement.
