« Parfaitement imparfait » by the artist Danny Perkins

Danny Perkins shapes bodily forms by meticulously welding nuts and bolts, creating silhouettes or fragments of the body that celebrate imperfection and human uniqueness. Her series Parfaitement imparfait (Perfectly Imperfect) explores the beauty of imperfection and the expressive potential of industrial materials.

Danny Perkins is a multidisciplinary artist from Kingsey Falls, Quebec, whose work is inspired by rural life, nature, and Canadian heritage. Working in various artistic disciplines, including metal, he is known for his ability to transform his ideas into unique works that tell a story. His creativity and innovative approach have led him to exhibit his creations across Canada and the United States, where he has distinguished himself with his distinctive artistic vision. Danny is also the founder of La Galerie Perkins, located in Melbourne, Quebec, where he presents his own work while supporting and promoting that of other artists. Through his diverse artistic practice, he continues to explore new techniques, push the boundaries of creation, and share his passion for art with the community. In this exhibition, the artist offers an artistic reflection on the human body through sculpture. Each work is unique, just like each individual. He shapes these bodily forms by meticulously welding nuts, creating silhouettes or fragments of the body that celebrate imperfection and human uniqueness. Having recently explored drawing, he incorporates some of these framed sketches into the exhibition design, enriching the visual experience with works on paper displayed on the walls. He thus creates a dialogue between the metallic volumes and the delicate lines of the drawing.
