Through this virtual exhibit, the Oratory Museum aims to showcase its collections as well as the architectural, artistic, and intangible heritage of this renowned pilgrimage site dedicated to Saint Joseph.
Oratory Stories is a virtual exhibit created by the Oratory Museum in collaboration with filmmaker Étienne Desrosiers, thanks to the support of the Digital Museums Canada investment program. This program is run by the Canadian Museum of History. In this interactive project, dedicated to Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal, you will see an uncontested icon of Montréal heritage in a new light. You can discover or rediscover the shrine and its historic, cultural, and spiritual richness. The exhibition has three sections. Choose an immersive 3D visit of the site; discover the most important themes of the Oratory’s life through original stories; and dive into an innovative chronology through rarely seen historical artifacts. Join us for this virtual adventure as we guide you through the stories that make this site a priceless treasure.
