In Spring 1959, a few thousand nautical miles from here, on the shores of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, the Jean-Richard came into being. The last of her lineage, she embodies a time gone by – the time of wooden schooners and coastal shipping on the Saint-Laurent. This exhibition spotlights the last vestiges of this emblematic watercraft, saved from oblivion to honour the work of the shipwrights and navigators of Charlevoix. The Jean-Richard.
