The signature exhibition of the POP! Museum: To discover Quebec culture in a fun way.
An exhibition on Quebec’s popular culture, with themes chosen through a 2018 survey conducted in partnership with Léger among 1,000 Quebecers. The most popular topics and those that best represent Quebec’s uniqueness—language, gastronomy, hockey, First Nations, folktales and legends, ingenuity, winter, music—are featured. Each section begins with a typical Quebec expression tied to its theme. The exhibition offers a playful, interactive socio-cultural portrait of Quebecers. Locals will leave with a sense of pride, while foreign visitors and newcomers will learn more about who we are. In Attache ta tuque! children have their own path: La virée des flos et des flounes! Each station includes a special area for kids to explore the exhibition on another level—fun for adults too! These zones are easy to spot by their black-and-white design. The exhibition also showcases the museum’s rich ethnological collection. It received the Award of Excellence from the Société des musées du Québec in 2020 and from the Canadian Museums Association in 2021
