An exhibition that highlights the Quebec correctional system.

In the Big House: Prisons, a solution? is a permanent exhibition at the Musée POP that highlights the Quebec correctional system from the 19th century to today, putting the accent on prison time and the public’s perception. In addition to presenting the different facets of the penal and judicial systems, it presents different characters through video testimony, as well as inviting reflection. One will discover unusual artifacts from the Old Prison, like a straight jacket and homemade weapons. The visitor will be invited to wear a detection bracelet (RFID) and to express oneself on the different challenges of the incarceration system. The comments will be transformed into digital format. A very nice complement to the guided visit of the Trois-Rivieres Old Prison.
