Over the years, the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges has enhanced its collection with a number of objects d’art reflecting the evolution of artistic taste and practice

.These objects are presented here in their broadest definition, with no boundaries between categories or rigid definitions, regardless of there support, technique or medium. Each object is unique, embodying the vision, emotions and inspiration of its creator, which are transposed into the creative gesture that gives it form. Every work of art begins with a gesture. The creative gesture, in the figurative sense, is expressed through a physical movement and is inseparable from the creator’s thought and vision. This is how practitioners of the visual arts, in the broadest sense of the term, have contributed to transforming our society’s collective visual unconscious through their creative gestures. This exhibition invites you to discover about sixty art objects representing the inspirations and skills of their creators and to get to know some of them.
