A Border is Made of Papers is an exhibition that illuminates the material regimes that make borders. Passports, visas, residency permits, justifications, and proofs are part of the bureaucratic processes that define mobility across geographies. This exhibition looks at borders from within, prying open the administrative regimes that govern people’s movements through the work of four artists who are themselves caught in the bureaucratic webs of borders.
