About the museum
At the very tip of the peninsula, nine distinct ecosystems unfold across just 2 km². Reconnect with nature in these breathtaking landscapes through a network of hiking trails ranging from 1.8 to 5 km, unique accommodations, and authentic experiences.
Nine ecosystems, one destination: an immersive experience shaped by the rhythm of nature.
Founded in 1986, Parc Nature de Pointe-aux-Outardes is an interpretation centre dedicated to ecological, educational, recreational, cultural, and scientific initiatives. Through a sustainable development approach, it offers interpretive programs, developed natural areas, facilities, and services to residents, day visitors, and tourists of all ages. Deeply rooted in its community as a non-profit organization, Parc Nature has been innovating for many years and is now recognized as a must-visit destination on Québec’s North Shore. Located on the Manicouagan Peninsula, between the St. Lawrence River and the Outardes River, Parc Nature provides a unique setting for discovering nine distinct ecosystems, including red pine forests, wetlands, dunes, and coastal habitats. Its mission is to protect the site’s natural and cultural heritage through educational and awareness initiatives aimed at both the local community and its visitors, while promoting development that is in harmony with the surrounding environment.
