About the museum

Welcome to the Argenteuil Regional Museum! Located on the edge of the Ottawa River and housed in a former military barracks built in the 1830s, the museum pay tribute to the pioneer families and industries of Argenteuil.

Visit the permanent exhibition The origins of an Argenteuil industry: from the Dominion Cartridge to Orica, retracing the story of one of Argenteuil's first companies. Discover artifacts, photos, rare documents witnessing this rich industrial history! Hunt beavers, clear the land and ring the bells of the various Argenteuil churches thanks to the interactive table of the permanent exhibition Argenteuil, my life as rivers!
