Centre d’art Jacques-et-Michel-Auger is an exhibition centre dedicated to contemporary visual and media arts. Located within Carré 150, Victoriaville’s cultural hub, it is a welcoming space for meeting, discovery and engagement, accessible to everyone. The centre is open year-round, and admission to all exhibitions is always free. As an exhibition centre at the heart of the community, CAJEMA serves as a platform that fosters meaningful encounters between artists and the public. Each year, the centre presents a rich program of exhibitions and events—including performances, talks, workshops and panel discussions—that explore diverse approaches and themes while engaging with current social issues. To foster the development of artistic practices and broaden its audiences, CAJEMA initiates off-site projects rooted in regional realities, welcomes artists-in-residence, collaborates with curators, publishes exhibition booklets, showcases interdisciplinary practices, and develops a cultural mediation program that complements its exhibitions and special events.
