About the museum

From the first wooden fort constructed by the soldiers of the Carignan-Salières Regiment in 1665 to the departure of the British troops in the mid-nineteenth century, the site lives at the pace of the military. Explore this impressive fortification, constructed in 1711, and step into a soldier’s shoes: try on a uniform, load the cannon and participate in a broad range of guided activities.

Take advantage of your visit to picnic in the park while admiring the impressive stone fort at the foot of the Richelieu rapids.
