The mission of the Centre d’exposition du Rift is to promote contemporary visual arts and artistic practices through accessible, professional programming that is firmly rooted in its community while remaining open to the world. A space for encounter, reflection, and dialogue, the Rift presents the work of professional and emerging artists, from both regional and national contexts, while fostering experimentation, innovation, and a diversity of artistic practices. Through its programming, the Centre contributes to the development and visibility of culture in the Témiscamingue region, addressing the specific realities of a rural, socially and culturally distinctive, and environmentally engaged territory from a contemporary perspective shaped by its geographic remoteness.
