Situated in the Museum Quarter, in a handsome heritage building in downtown Sherbrooke, the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke (MBAS) has become, since its founding in 1982, the key player in the world of the visual arts in the Eastern Townships. Its mission is to preserve, showcase and promote the extraordinary wealth of the artwork created in Quebec and the Eastern Townships. The Museum’s collection includes more than 4,900 works by some 850 artists representing a variety of disciplines.
