About the museum
In the heart of Rivière-du-Loup, the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent offers exhibitions and activities rooted in its twofold mission of presenting Québec contemporary art and regional history.
The permanent exhibition Visages et paysages showcases the history, people and culture of the Lower St. Lawrence region through the museum’s rich photographic archive, unveiling over 500 photographs of its well-preserved collection of some 250,000 documents. Families welcome! Activity booklet or interactive map in hand, you will be invited to play, speak, mime, draw and even sing within the exhibition spaces.
