About the museum

By the sea, right in the heart of town, the museum is located in the compound of the oldest stone church in eastern Quebec. The focus here is on contemporary art, regional history and science. The museum develops, preserves and exhibits a collection of contemporary artworks, artefacts and archives. Target audiences: the general public and special groups, school and other groups, and people with particular requirements.

Three rooms, three different ambiances, three experiences – all in the same visit! Whether you’re 7 or 77, you’ll love the playful activities designed to complement our exhibitions. The museum’s unique architecture showcases nearly 200 years of history.
