About the museum
Overlooking the St. Lawrence River in the heart of downtown, the Museum is housed within the walls of the oldest stone church in Eastern Quebec. Contemporary art takes centre stage here. The Museum develops, preserves, and exhibits a collection of contemporary artworks and archival materials. It welcomes the general public and specialized audiences alike, as well as schools, groups, and people with specific accessibility needs.
Three rooms, three different ambiances, three experiences – all in the same visit! Whether you’re 7 or 77, you’ll love the playful activities designed to complement our exhibitions. The museum’s unique architecture showcases nearly 200 years of history.
