About the museum
Located in Quebec City’s Old Port, the Quebec Naval Museum is the place to learn more about the naval history of the St. Lawrence River and the Canadian Naval Reserve. As the Museum of the Canadian Armed Forces, our approach to military history is to showcase all the impacts of war, in order to better highlight the importance of peace.
Several objects of the collection and archival documents are presented in the heart of the exhibition to illustrate the naval universe: navigation instruments, models, personal objects of the seamen… The exhibition Heirs of Wars presents the experience of war through the eyes of families and friends of veterans. A touching visit, that bring us to reflect on the impact of wars and the need to work for peace.
