Parc Marie-Victorin, located in Kingsey Falls in Central Quebec, is a major ecological botanical garden spanning over 29 cultivated acres.Founded as a tribute to the famous botanist Brother Marie-Victorin, the site offers a distinctive blend of horticulture, art, and museum education. The park’s overall experience is built around four main pillars:Giant Mosaicultures: The park features 12 spectacular three-dimensional plant structures, totaling nearly 60,000 plants. This is one of the largest permanent collections of its kind in the world, including a 6-meter-high piece representing Brother Marie-Victorin.Themed Gardens and the Carnivorous Greenhouse: Visitors can explore 7 themed gardens connected by 6 km of accessible pathways. One of the key highlights is its greenhouse, which houses an impressive collection of 1,200 carnivorous plants. The site also features a wellness vegetable garden with 400 heritage vegetables, a bird garden, and beautiful water cascades near the falls.The Museum Component and Exhibits: As a museum garden, it features 5 indoor and outdoor exhibits exploring the history of science, local botany, and industrial expertise (such as the exhibit dedicated to cast iron objects).The Family Experience: The site incorporates interactive animations, sculptures made from recycled metals, picnic areas, and a puzzle-solving quest for families.
