About the museum

Located in Chaudière-Appalaches, at the gates of Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Seigneurie des Aulnaies is an interpretation center whose mission is to protect, animate and showcase an exceptional heritage site as well as the know-how of artisanal milling, now designated intangible cultural heritage by the Government of Quebec.

The exhibition À tout seigneur, tout honneur offers a guided tour of the seigneurial period with guides in costume. At the mill, witness the fascinating spectacle of the largest bucket wheel still in operation in Quebec and taste the artisanal flour produced on site. Continue your visit to the seigneurial manor and discover the sumptuous residence’s rooms which will immerse you in our history. The activity Petit seigneur, grand honneur, also allows children to dress up in lord and lordess for a fabulous time travel! Through more than 2 km of walking trails, discover a majestic pine forest, ornamental trees, an orchard and fascinating old floral gardens.
