About the museum
Canada’s largest museum in a hospital presents the story of the Shriners Masonic fraternity and their Montréal hospital, one of Canada’s leading pediatric care and research centres since 1925.
The museum gathers a collection of over 2000 objects and 50 000 documents related to the history of pediatric orthopedics and the Shriners' presence in Canada. The exhibit "A tradition moving forwards – the evolution of orthopedic pediatric care and research" highlights the history of the Fraternity and the hospital. Here, you will find a variety of artifacts: medical and research equipment, costumes, uniforms, prosthesis, and even a miniature motorcycle!
