Accessible
An accessible establishment meets all accessibility criteria relating to the visitor's experience. It allows for easy movement and a satisfying experience for everyone.
Partially accessible
A partially accessible establishment meets the main accessibility criteria, but has certain limitations that may complicate travel and the experience for some people.
These limitations may include:
- An indoor or outdoor walkway with a threshold, steep slope, or restricted width
- An entrance or door with a threshold, steep slope, or restricted width
- Bathroom with accessibility constraints such as limited turning space, lack of grab bars, or difficult access.
Overall, the facility remains functional with assistance and allows access to certain parts of the space.
Not accessible
A facility is considered not accessible when it does not meet the main accessibility criteria related to movement and use of space.
This typically includes:
- A doorstep that is too high
- Steps at the entrance
- The absence of accessible restrooms
Certification
Kéroul-certified establishments can be awarded one of these three ratings, indicating the corresponding accessibility level.
Services and facilities adapted for various clienteles
For blind and visually impaired individuals
This rating means that the establishment offers services adapted to blind and visually impaired people. The services evaluated vary depending on the nature of the activities provided.
For deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals
This rating indicates that the establishment offers services adapted to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. The services evaluated depend on the type of activities offered.
For neurodivergent individuals
This rating indicates that the establishment offers services or accommodations that meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals. The services evaluated depend on the type of activities offered.
