Here, the power of the rapids has shaped 7,000 years of history, ingenuity and defense. Overlooking the river, the Coteau-du-Lac site shelters the remnants of the first fortified lock canal in Canada. The grounds offer a beautiful setting to relax, picnic and learn about the history of the fort and the military strategy of the time.
