The Research Group on Education and Museums (GREM) was founded in 1981 on the initiative of faculty members from what is now the Faculty of Education at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Over the past 30 years, GREM has evolved and continues to pursue its original mission by working alongside researchers, students, and museum professionals in Montreal and around the world. Our expertise combines field research with the practical application of theoretical models that have been validated since our inception within museum institutions. Student training is central to GREM’s mission. Through the acquisition of professional skills and participation in various research activities, it helps ensure the impact of museums’ educational mission.
