Site Features (Site Data)

Field to be used with an authority listField used for archaeology collections (object data and site data)

Definition:

  • This field contains the characteristic features of the site still in existence.

Observations:

  1. This field contains the list of architectural remains and manmade site features that have not yet been collected or excavated.
  2. For better search results in your database, avoid a large variety of terms; draw up an authority list and add keywords as necessary.

Entry rules:

  1. Enter the site features in full; do not use abbreviations.
    Example

    Site Features cairn
  2. This field may contain multiple entries separated by a semicolon followed by a space. Enter the information from the most to the least significant.
    Example

    Site Features house; walled courtyard; well
