Definition:

  • This field contains comments on the object.

Observation:

  • This field contains comments, anecdotes and contextual information about the object. It may also contain information useful for interpreting the object.

    Narrative This radio was purchased for $38.50 from the Dupuis Frères summer 1948 catalogue.

Entry rule:

  • The Narrative field is particularly useful when information is entered clearly, concisely and consistently.
    Example

     Object Name hat
    Narrative This hat was used in the 1963 film Le couvre-chef de monsieur Brûlot.
