Presentation

The NDPS Historical Center is dedicated to the history of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The permanent exhibition covers a period that extends from 1892 to the present day, describing, with the help of objects collected over time, the life of the community and its commitment to the poor, anyone in need, adapting to different times, cultures and places. With the services of a guide-interpreter, be sure to also visit the conventual site, the Maison Souvenir, first presbytery of the village, and the magnificent chapel of Sainte-Anne-des-Montagnes, a place of traditional pilgrimage.

Museum experiences

  • The Historic Center offers 50 kiosks telling the story of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located in the heart of the mountains, in the municipality of Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, MRC de Bellechasse, in the center of the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
  • On the conventual site, follow the indications and the itinerary suggested to orient yourself and to discover, with the help of 17 interpretation panels describing the buildings built at the beginning of the 20th century and letting you imagine the hectic life around the Mother house.
