Museum experiences

  • Come visit historical buildings and learn the anecdotes that shaped Gaspé’s history. There you will also see the official monument commemorating the 400th anniversary of the passage of explorer Jacques Cartier, as he claimed possession in 1534 of the land that would become New France.
  • The heritage home, seaplane base, warehouse, naval base, general store, tavern and more are yours to visit. In the company of an interpreter dressed in period clothing, travel back in time for a tour of the homes of yesteryears and their rich collection of artifacts.
  • Enjoy the multimedia historical show “A Tale of Time and Tides”, a riveting immersion into the history of Gaspé, from the Micmac presence to the present day.
