Museum experiences

  • Relive significant milestones in the history of Terrebonne as you tour the Il était une fois… Terrebonne! exhibit. Admire the giant cartoon and leap into history!
  • Our guide-interpreters will be happy to show you around the site. Guided tours take in the pontoon boat on the locks, the lush heritage gardens and the foundations of the old mill. You’ll see the old seigneury from the time of the voyageurs through the early twentieth century.
  • Join the voyageurs on their adventures! The Northwest Company spends the summer at Fort-le-Portage before going back on the fur trade route. The fort is full of lively stories that show the many facets of this uniquely colourful world: showdowns, paddling techniques, dancing, singing and meeting the First Nations face to face.
