Museum experiences

  • Guided tour through the museum with experienced scientists offer visitors a complete view of our studies of marine mammals and our scientific work in the St. Lawrence.
  • During the summer of 1992, MICS inaugurated a research and interpretation center featuring a museum. Our museum combines research and education to bring to the public life-size models of various marine mammals including skeletal and baleen remains, an auditorium, theatre, photographs, and murals that cover the walls and floor of the museum immersing visitors into the underwater world and behaviour of baleen and toothed whales as observed by staff researchers in the St. Lawrence.
