Weight (Dimensions)

Definition:

  • This field contains the total weight of the object.

Observations:

  1. The weight of the object corresponds to its total mass, including its components.
  2. Weight should always be expressed in grams, except when the object is too light or too heavy.
  3. This field is used in conjunction with the Unit Weight field.

Entry rules:

  1. Enter a single measurement, in real numbers.
    Example

      Object Name statuette
     Unit Weightg
    Weight 903
  2. Details regarding measurements and comments about partial or questionable measurements should be noted in the Dimension/Weight Remarks field.
    Example

    A silver brooch

      Object Name brooch
     Unit Weightg
    Weight 20
     Dimension/Weight Remarks The weight indicated is approximate.
     Material metal, silver
  3. This field may not contain more than one entry.
