Height (Dimensions)

Definition:

  • This field contains the measurement of the maximum height of the object.

Observations:

  1. Height is the vertical dimension of an object measured from the base to the top, along a real or imaginary vertical line.
  2. You should generally be facing the main side of the object to measure its dimensions. Refer to the "How to measure objects" section of the Guide.
  3. This field is used in conjunction with the Unit Linear field.
  4. Dimensions should always be expressed in centimetres, except when the object is too large or too small.

Entry rules:

  1. Enter a single measurement, in real numbers.
    Example

  2. Details regarding measurements and comments about partial or questionable measurements should be noted in the Dimension/Weight Remarks field.
    Example

     Dimension/Weight Remarks The height indicated is questionable.
  3. This field may not contain more than one entry.
