Image Height (Dimensions)

Definition:

  • This field contains the measurement of the maximum image height (of a composition, image or platemark).

Observations:

  1. The image height corresponds to the height of the illustrated part (or the image part) of a print or stencil.
  2. You should generally be facing the main side of the object to measure its dimensions. Refer to the "How to measure objects" section of the Guide.
  3. This field is used in conjunction with the Unit Linear field.
  4. Dimensions should always be expressed in centimetres, except when the object is too large or too small.

Entry rules:

  1. Enter a single measurement, in real numbers.

  2. Details regarding measurements and comments about partial or questionable measurements should be noted in the Dimension/Weight Remarks field.
    Example

     Dimension/Weight Remarks The image height is approximate, as it was taken without removing the frame.
  3. This field may not contain more than one entry.
