Cataloguer Remarks (Cataloguing)

Definition:

  • This field contains remarks by the individual(s) who documented the specimen.

Observation:

  • Remarks fields are for information that cannot be entered in any other field.

Entry rules:

  1. Note the information clearly, concisely and consistently.
  2. To keep an audit trail of this field, enter the cataloguer's initials in parentheses after each remark.
    Example

    A naturalized walrus was documented on September 15, 1981 by Lucy Bell and by Louise Odongo on June 20, 1992.
