Frame/Pedestal Width Outside (Dimensions)

Definition:

Observations:

1. The outside width of the frame/pedestal corresponds to one of the horizontal measurements of the frame of a two-dimensional object or the removable base of a three-dimensional object.
2. If the base is part of the object, the maximum width is to be entered in the Width field.
3. The outside width of the frame/pedestal means the maximum measurement from left to right, along a real or imaginary horizontal line. The outside depth of the frame/pedestal then refers to the other horizontal dimension, measured from front to back.
4. You should generally be facing the main side of the object to measure its dimensions. Refer to the "How to measure objects" section of the Guide.
5. This field is used in conjunction with the Unit Linear field.
6. Dimensions should always be expressed in centimetres, except when the object is too large or too small.

Entry rules:

1. Enter a single measurement, in real numbers.
   Example

   	Unit Linear	cm
   	Frame/Pedestal Width Outside	18.50

2. Details regarding measurements and comments about partial or questionable measurements should be noted in the Dimension/Weight Remarks field.
   Example

   	Unit Linear	cm
   	Frame/Pedestal Width Outside	28
   	Dimension/Weight Remarks	The width of the base is questionable.
